Coach Berning releases final overall baseball stats

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows head baseball coach Jason Berning has released his team’s final stats for all games for the past season, along with the list of North Central All- Conference players. The Cowboys had Trenton Sann selected to the First Team as a Utility/Designated Hitter player.

The Cowboys finished with a 9-14 overall record, and 2-11 in conference games. The conference title went to Humboldt with a 12-2 record, followed in the top three by Clear Lake at 11-3 and Hampton – Dumont at 9-5. The Cowboys were seventh out of eight teams.

As a team, the Cowboys had 541 total at-bats which produced 114 runs on 138 base hits. There were 17 doubles, four triples and three homeruns. A total of 91 RBI were produced from those hits, along with 12 sac fly’s, 91 walks taken and 48 stolen bases in 54 attempts. Team batting average was .255, with a slugging percentage of .318.
