Clear Lake Pulls Away In Second Half Of Homecoming Game

In a big homecoming battle last Friday in Clarion, the Cowboys met top-ranked Clear Lake with district 2 supremacy on the line.

Following a tight first half, with the Lions clinging to a 14-12 lead, they made adjustments and flexed their muscles in pulling away with a three-touchdown third period to win 39-12.

“I thought we played about as hard as we could throughout the game,” said head coach Paul Hansch. “We probably played as well the first half as we have all year. I liked the way we matched Clear Lake’s physicality, and we executed very well on both sides of the ball."
