Clarion Pride gears up for 2017

Clarion Pride volunteers are getting organized for their first 2017 member meeting on Tuesday, February 21 - 6:30 p.m. at the Clarion Depot. Pictured are (from left) Co-Chair Peggy O'Neill, Committee Member Dennis Bowman, and Co-Chair Carolyn Bowman. Mary Miller (not pictured) is secretary of the group.

Members of the Clarion Pride committee are busy laying out plans for the spring and summer of 2017. The nearly dozen members are led by co-chairs Peggy O’Neill and Carolyn Bowman. Mary Miller serves as its secretary.

While the ‘Pride’ group has been in existence for nearly a decade, it has been the last several years that ‘talk’ has moved into action. “During the last year or two, we have been visible doing things,” said O’Neill. The most obvious has been the painting of a handful of houses on the main thoroughfares in and out of Clarion. Last year the group painted five homes.
