Clarion Memorial Day Celebration

Special Memorial Day services have been planned in tribute to the valor, fidelity, and sacrifice of our men and women. Salute the Veterans and Troops who fought and continue to fight for our freedom and to protect this great country.

The Clarion American Legion and VFW Posts will hold their annual Memorial Day observance on Monday, May 25, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows High School gymnasium.  There is no charge for attending the service and the public is urged to attend to honor the many young men and women who gave their lives in defense of the freedoms we enjoy.

Refreshments will be served following the program. Clarion American Legion Post #246 will serve a pancake and sausage breakfast prior to the Memorial Day Service at the high school cafeteria from 7:30-9:30 a.m.  Free will donations accepted. The Avenue of Flags at the Evergreen Cemetery will be put up beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, and taken down Tuesday, May 26, at 5 p.m.
