Clarion Fire Department chooses new chief

     Gene Rosenbaum has been selected to be the new Fire Chief for the Clarion Fire Department.

     A Clarion firefighter since 2008, Rosenbaum was chosen by his fellow firefighters to take up the fire chief position during their regular meeting last Tuesday, April 14.

     "It's kind of a little intimidating," said Rosenbaum, who was previously a captain with the fire department.

     Rosembaum says he has a lot to learn about being a fire chief, but is happy to have a crew of knowledgeable firefighters to support him. Many of the volunteers on Clarion's fire department have gone through Firefighter 1 and even Firefighter 2 training.
