Clarion City Administrator Prepares For Retirement; New City Administrator Learning The Ropes

It's the end of an era as Rochelle Pohlman winds down her career as Clarion's City Administrator.

     Pohlman started working for the city in November of 1984 as a utility billing clerk. Over the next thirty years she would become instrumental in managing the city, becoming the city's payroll clerk, administrative assistant, and then finally the city administrator in 2012.

     "I kind of did it all," said Pohlman. "I've seen a lot of change in those years and I think it's been a good change for Clarion."

     During her time with the city, Pohlman has served under five mayors and watched as Clarion added several new businesses, including a Pamida, Super Foods, Dollar General, and fast food franchises like Hardee's and Subway.
