Clarion Celebrates 150th Anniversary

It was a historic weekend for Clarion as the city celebrated their 150th Anniversary with a wide range of activities and entertainment across town.

The fun began on Thursday with the Geocache History Hunt and tours of the area's historic homes. Later that evening, Fuel set up for a weekend of live musical performances, starting with Jake McVey on Thursday evening.

On Friday the celebration continued to ramp up as visitors enjoyed tours of the school and library throughout the day. Along with seeing all the changes made to the buildings over the years, guests were invited to look at the library's new microfilm archive of the city's history.

Down at Aquatic Park, First Citizens National Bank served hamburgers to raise money for the Clarion Chamber of Commerce. The chamber also sold commemorative 150th Anniversary shirts at the park and Kid's Korner Daycare raffled off items for a general fundraiser.
