Alberts represents C-G-D at State Cross Country Meet

Mekenzie Alberts represented Clarion-Goldfield-Dows at the State Cross Country Meet last Saturday at Lakeside Golf Course near Fort Dodge.

The junior finished 56th in a time of 16:52.9. Freshman Paige Holub of Monticello took first place in 2A with a 14:58.8.

“I am very proud of Kenzie,” said head coach Robert EnTin. “She has been fighting an upper respiratory infection for several weeks, but she ran her best time of the year at the state meet. She practiced hard and met her goals for the year. Mekenzie was an inspiration to the team this year, and I cannot wait until next year to see what she and the team accomplish.”
