8th grade boys work hard for wins this year

The Cowboy 8th grade basketball team, coached by Pat O’Brien, completed their season with the coach filing this report. “We ended our season with a home game against Webster City,” said O’Brien. “That game didn’t end as hoped, but solidified the statement that we didn’t have enough horses to finish the race."

O’Brien feels there is much potential with this group. “They realize what their deficits are, whether they change them into strengths over the next couple of years remains to be seen,” said the coach. “These guys would like to think that they can contribute in a positive way on future high school teams, so this was a good start. We would like to thank all of the great support we were given this year by relatives, support staff, administrators and faculty.”
