Several members of past Cowboy football teams played an alumni game versus Eagle Grove last Friday night in Eagle Grove. The Eagles won the game 26-8, which was not really the important thing (but maybe to the guys taking part) as all money raised benefitted the Eagle Sports Boosters. The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows varsity softball team enjoyed a huge win 14-1 last Tuesday at West Hancock. The team took a 3-1 lead into the top of the fourth, where they proceeded to bust the game wide open by plating 11 runs to end it after four complete frames. The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows varsity baseball team opened their new season with a 13-0 loss to Roland-Story in five innings last Tuesday in Story City.
